What is it with people these days? You kill a couple of hundred of them on a plane and all of a sudden they can't handle a harmless aeronautical prank.
I thought of you too when I read this on smh... and wondered why YOUR nasty scare wasn't deemed newsworthy? as for the missing shoe - that sent me back to musings of combed-through hungry jack's vegie burgers. Could the circumstances have been a little similar maybe? (And I ask that in the most gentle way)

Your grandfather actually returned from a holiday with your cousin John (Bali, I think) with a new pair of shoes he had bought at the markets. One was navy and the other black. He didn't realise until he was wearing them and showing them off to people who commented that they were pleased he had got them so cheap!
