It dawned on me today that dogs are probably there for the same reason. You never see them being played with, walked or patted. Just wandering around scavenging for food. Sometimes even hanging out with the chooks.

Dog Gone
When I see chickens wandering around the yard of a Vietnamese house, scavenging for food, I never consider these to be pets. We all know their fate.

There is a dog downstairs at 39 that gets a little warm coat in the cold weather and each time it walks past the kids it gets a pat. Feel better now, Nancy?
1. there is a new opened restaurant out the back of 39 which has - amongst other things - thit cho (vietnamese for "dog) on its menu. still feeling smug cheesel?
2. since when did it become ok for you to start calling me nancy? fucking upstart.
I was not calling YOU Nancy. I was indicating to the dog-loving Nancy, staying with you, that maybe some dogs in Vietnam were treated well and not for consumption.
just as well; nancy.
